Coaching for cancer and other long term term health conditions (LTCs)
I'm experienced in coaching at depth with clients their carers to mitigate the impacts of living with and beyond diagnoses of cancer and long term health conditions.
I’m a volunteer coach for the NHS Fountain Cancer Care Centre. Together, the group of professional coaches there share expertise, professional practice and group supervision. We have co-authored a book with skills and resources to help other professionals and interested clients - it is due for publication in January 2021.
A diagnosis of cancer and other long term conditions may come in a sentence and change your life forever.
It's natural to experience the loss of the life you thought you would have, the dreams you've held and aspirations for the future.
Our coaching dialogue gives you space to vocalise and be with vulnerability and uncertainty, to explore options and find your place to live.
Client feedback and metrics show that they find the capacities and capabilities to reach the goals that emerge in the coaching dialogue, and to generate new narratives for their lives. Informal feedback reports that they feel more self compassionate and empowered to care for themselves and have learned skills to help them have important conversations with family and friends.
