Older people are forming a larger proportion of the entrepreneurial population as demographic change, improved health, altruism and the need to supplement income become more important.

Sue is a licensed coach for the well researched and comprehensive ‘Testing the Water’™ which will support you to assess your readiness for self employment and the development of your business. Coaching will develop strengths and work through more limiting areas .Sue’s coaching will help you focus and develop your ideas, consider and challenge your options and beliefs and support you to speed the transition and establish a successful enterprise.

For those who have already established their businesses, whitespace coaching supports olderpreneurs to grow and build robust, sustainable businesses to keep their motivation and dreams alive and add value in the world.

Sue has skills in business development and working with individuals and groups. She set up and developed her own business having been made redundant from a job she loved.

Sue is currently working with the Institute for Ageing and Health at Newcastle University on joint project with NIACE supported by the European Social Fund, which will provide evidence and clarity on the perspectives, experience and expectations of working in to later life from both older workers and employers.

This part of the programme is exploring the opportunities for older people in enterprise and self employment with facilitation and coaching by whitespace coaching.
